I gained ab 20 lbs if muscle and fat over the last few months. For a month I’ve been getting new bright red stretch marks. They keep growing/spreading and it’s in places I’ve never had before. It’s my arms, armpits, thighs, butt, hips, boobs, side, under boobs etc… it keeps spreading and spreading and I’m scared my entire body will be covered. I’m 30% stretch marks right now. I think it’s related to my skin issues and hypermobility. Anyone else relate or have solutions?

Hypermobility Syndromes

Yeah I have stretch marks on my knees and chest and butt, without much weight gain at all! It's very much a hypermobile-stretchy skin thing, but I just do my best to think of it as something natural and normal for my body. Don't quite have solutions, I've just sort of dealt with it and embraced it!

One user suggested trying Bio-oil or Aloe vera to fade the stretch marks. Another user mentioned that people with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a condition that can cause hypermobility, often get stretch marks or collagen tears. They recommended wearing super soft leggings as an under layer to protect the skin from chaffing. However, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice.
