Combining Wellbutrin and Zoloft for Social Anxiety: Any Success Stories?

I have been on Wellbutrin for years, but still struggling with social anxiety, even with my increased dosage. My doctor said that I can let him know if I'm still struggling, and he can add Zoloft. Has anyone had any luck with a Wellbutrin/ Zoloft combo for social anxiety? I'm also worried about weight gain because that is something I really struggle with, so I'd like to know if anyone dealt with weight gain on this med combo. Thanks!

Hi! I'm not taking both meds, but I have been on Zoloft for over a year. When I was on 50mg I was feeling happier and less anxious. But on that dose, I gained about 20 pounds over the span of a few months. I am now on 25mg and I have stopped gaining weight, but I can't lose weight either. On this dose, I still feel the effects of anxiety and depression. If you are prone to weight gain, I would do some careful consideration of pros and cons.

Thanks for your reply! It makes me nervous because probably around 2014 or so I gained like 50 lbs on Cymbalta and I can't deal with that happening again. I have lost weight but it took forever and I have trouble managing it. I'm paying for medical weight loss right now and I don't want to waste the money if I'll end up gaining it back. It's such a hard thing to decide, because I have to deal with my body image all the time, but only deal with the social anxiety here and there, because I work from home so I don't deal with people as much as I uses to.
