Colonoscopy with POTS - Worried about Anesthesia

Did anyone have a colonoscopy with POTS? I'm really hoping my procedure and the anesthesia does not affect it. Prayers it goes well.

Yes, I’ve also been under anesthesia many times. Take your time in recovery, don’t feel pressure to get up too fast, if you feel that you can or get up yet without fainting ask for a bed pan until you feel you can safely get up. I definitely felt worse for about 24 hours after but just had to be careful!

I have had a couple. The trick is to stay hydrated during prep. Also, request the gatorade/miralax prep. Some of the other preps are hard on your GI tract, which can trigger POTS symptoms. Find a different electrolyte drink - Liquid IV, LMNT, etc. to drink while you are cleaning out so that you don't become dehydrated. Also, let the nurses/doc/anesthesiologist know that you have POTS and may require fluids during the procedure. My dms are open if you have any more questions.

I did & I did not notice a difference in my symptoms. I hope your procedure goes well! You won’t feel a thing!
