I had a meeting with the head of dining services with my top choice to make sure they could accommodate me, my gastroenterologist filled out a form about what I needed, etc. I would take the bus once a week to a grocery store and that was great to get a variety of items because my options on campus were more limited so towards the end of the semester it was nice to get microwaveable meals at the store when I was bored of my on campus options. My biggest advice: reach out and talk to them and see if they have any current students who may be willing to talk to you and possibly show you around when you get on campus in the fall.

Call the closest grocery store to your college maybe? Or if they have a website see what you can find that would be a safe food but still affordable

Go to gluten.org and search “college.” The first row of results has some helpful tips!
