Seeking advice on clozapine as a replacement for antipsychotics

I am due to get back on medication in a few months. I wanted to talk to my psychiatrist about clozapine to replace 3 of my antipsychotic. I’m currently returning to abilify, seroquel, and perphenazine. They hardly work anyways. I was just wondering other experiences with it. I know it’s different for everyone. Just wanted to know some first hand thoughts.

Clozapine was like a god send for me…I’m no longer on it after being on that and zyprexa for over 4 years. The only tough part about clozapine is that it was extremely sedating. Even taking it at night made me so tired during the day….which exacerbated my narcolepsy. But for the psychosis there was nothing better than clozapine. It was just a temporary thing for me as they stuck me on it to get me out of a hospital bed

was it daunting when you first got on it? I am med resistant and it’s kind of my last antipsychotic choice. So I am freaking out
