Seeking Advice on Clonazepam Tapering

Did anyone have to taper off of clonazepam, or did you just stop taking it? What dose were you taking and for how long?

Hi there. I'm Currently STRUGGLING with this. In regards to stopping Klonopin It all depends on frequency and Mg and length of time used. I am currently at .5 milligrams 2x a day. I can't seem to go any lower without sweating through my clothes and violent nausea/vomiting. I'm going to ask my doctor to switch to diazepam(valium) because .5 Clonazepam id equal to 5mg diazepam, which you can breakdown 1mg at a time. I started this med in 2015.. I hope and pray you have a MUCH easier time than I.

Hi there, tapering causes less disruptions to the chemical balances so reduces side effects of coming off meds. Brain zaps, nausea, exhaustion, memory loss etc can be a real problem when stopping psych meds abruptly. Taking NAD+ and magnesium everyday you're tapering and thereafter can help, there's a psychiatrist in the states (Dr. Kendra Campbell) that focusses her practice solely on safely getting people off psych meds, she recommends the above compounds to support the brain when tapering based on research and evidence. Hope this helps :)
