Struggling with Clonazepam for Nocturnal Seizures

I’m prescribed clonazepam for my nocturnal seizures but I’m having such a difficult taking it. I can’t function enough the next day due to drowsiness and it limits my ability to do my job well. Is there just an adjustment period with it? If so, can you share how long it took? If anyone could share ways they have been able to take it and still function enough at work that would be helpful. I need the nocturnal seizures to stop but also need to do my job and sleeping 17 hours even when I only take a half dose isn’t going to allow that.

What is your dose? That’s interesting. I take half mg twice a day for anxiety (second dose is at night). I do sometimes feel groggy but I’ve been on it forever. I do think I was groggy in the beginning. Ugh you’ll prob have to tell the doc. Maybe they’ll have another solution for you.

I've had it prescribed for years to break seizure clusters and the half life is nearly a day so it makes sense you're tired the next day. Benzos like Clonazepam you build a tolerance to fast so imagine you'll get over the side effects pretty quickly while hopefully it's still effective
