Long-term use of Clonazepam for Anxiety: Anyone else?

I've been on Clonazepam (Klonopin) for Anxiety/Panic/OCD for over 5 years even though you're supposed to only use it short term... My dose is .05 mg to 1 mg per day, so it's small but I feel like it's the only thing that helps calm me enough to function at all. Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?

I take it at night for seizure activity and I've been in it for over 10 years now issue

yes! Been on and off with it for 5 years now too. I’m prescribed .5 mg my dr is trying a different meds on me so I can be more stable and not have to take the klonopin. It’s a very low dose though, so don’t be concerned.

I appreciate you saying that. My prescriber told me not to worry as well since it's such a low dose but I guess I needed to hear it from someone else who's actually taking it ya know?

I've been on Klonopin for about a year and a half and I felt the same way. The only other thing that helps my anxiety is taking marijuana.

sadly marijuana didn't work for me other than the first time, as it made me dizzy 😥 And it was a low dose gummy so I was pretty upset about that. I really wanted it to work so I wouldn't have to be on klonopin
