How to Clean a Depression Room?

How do you clean a depression room ? Or gain motivation to do so? I have a hard time cleaning mine and my mom gets irritated and I’m just stuck and really need help.

I find that only committing to 5 minutes and then letting myself stop if I want to helps me get started. I start with any large items I can easily get out of the way, then collect all simple trash and wrappers, then collect dishes and bring them to the kitchen, then collect laundry. I recommend the book "How to keep house while drowning" I listened to the audiobook, it's like 3 hours. It really focuses on the idea that your space is there to serve you. You are not there to serve your space.

Take breaks as often as you need, pushing yourself is a recipe for over stimulating mentally. I like to start in one corner cleaning and using my bed and create piles of what goes where. When that space is clean grab the pile and put stuff away 🖤

It would help if your mom was more patient with you. Also it's easiest for me to clean my room when I have music blaring or I'm watching a funny video/show.

I really struggle with this as well. I usually start with my bed, and then work in a circle around my room. I try to play music and do it as soon as a wake up. Afterwords I allow myself to rest and do things i enjoy :)
