Citalopram and Anxiety Attacks

What is your experience with Citalopram? I thought it was helping me at first but now I feel like my anxiety attacks are the worst they’ve ever felt. To the point I’m in hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack or something 😣

Personally I love it but medication affects people differently, if I were you I'd try something else

I have been on it since 2014 and it has been the best thing for me, in the beginning it took me a solid month to notice crazy differences. When I first took it, I thought I was gonna throw up every night for a week, but that’s normal and it went away. What’s your dosage on it?

I started on 10mg and went to 20mg which is when I had a really bad panic attack, I’ve gone back down to 10 and I’m getting use to it again after coming off it for a week or so but I’m just worried it’ll give me a panic attack the way it did again

I just started on Celexa (Citalopram) a week ago after being on Zoloft for a long time. I read that it takes 6 to 8 weeks to work, but I already had a panic attack on the 20mg dose that I take once a day. Fortunately, I had some low-dose lorazepam (Ativan) on hand.
