Looking for experiences with Cimzia treatment

I just started Cimzia and was wondering what path others went on to end up on it. I started with just hydroxychloroquine, then added methotrexate (which I didn't tolerate and had to stop), then I was on humira (which just suddenly stopped working), now I'm on cimzia.

I have started taking Actemera (sp) through an IV eight years ago… it has helped me greatly

Humira was easy. Not painful, no side effects at all. It's a pen that you press against your stomach so you don't actually have to insert a needle or anything. Just push a button and it does it for you. I'm on cimzia now and it's a little more daunting as you have to actually stick yourself with the needles. I did experience some swelling and redness around the injection sites on my first loading dose. I do two more shots tomorrow so we'll see how it goes.

What is the injectable experience like for you?

Nothing made any difference for me until I went to injectables.

I started on Hydroxychloquine as well & am now on leflunomide. Neither have done much for me.

I am also interested to know about the way of others with their treatment. I'm still in the early stage, I'm just taking prednisone, so I'm curious about my future.
