Chronic Pain and Fibromyalgia: Experiences and Connections

does anyone have chronic pain that they had before the fibro started that got worse with the fibro? i've had pain in both my hips, knees, and wrists since at least high school and they all got worse when my fibro started but i know the fibro didn't cause them.

I was actually diagnosed with fibromyalgia after I got covid but looking back it definitely had chronic pain before that but I wrote it off as pain from sports

Yes, absolutely! My fibro started about three ish years ago but before that, I got sick all the time and almost always had knee pain or hip pain.

I have severe osteoarthritis in most of my joints, alongside the fibromyalgia.

Yes, I had chronic pain from arthritis and "unknown causes" since I was in my teens. For a long time, I thought it was just getting worse with age. By the time of my fibro diagnosis, it had become extreme.
