Chronic Pain and Ineffective Painkillers

Hey, anyone else with chronic pain and painkillers don’t work? Even tramadol hasn’t helped and idk what to do. Any suggestions?

Ask your pain dr if physical therapy will help. I’ve done all kinds of pills, shots, and patches. Pt is the only thing that really helps. Can only do it for 6 weeks once a year but it does last a while. Pain patches are lidoderm and work really well too.

I drink cannabis tea and use a lot of thermal clothes and heat pads to try and help or avoid it (especially in this weather) but i keep being told by doctors to take paracetamol but that stopped working so on occasion when nothing else works and i physically cant move i take co-codamol and every day i take a handful of vitamins that help dull it slightly at a high dose (i think folic acid is the main thing that works)

ive found this too! Heat mats or blankets & medical cannabis/cbd has helped me the most

I’ve been doing that recently, I think the cannabis helps me be less irritable too 🙏 ❤️

I was taking morphine for the first year of my chronic pain and then tramadol for the second. I’m now going into the third without them bcos they really don’t get to the source of the pain. I’ve found TENS machines really effective but don’t know if you’ve already tried it? 🙏 ❤️
