I have a lot of chronic nausea and vomiting issues, but I can’t figure out any one cause on my own. I’m waiting to get better insurance so I can see a doctor, but worried they won’t have any ideas to help me. How hard has it been for you to get diagnosed?

I have a lot of these issues as well and they don't know why. It's been my whole life, but cutting out nightshade produce and gluten helped take off the edge a bit. I'm still throwing up a few times a week, but it's not every day anymore. There's also apparently things called abdominal migraines that could be the culprit, so maybe that could be what you're experiencing too?

Are you stressed? I had no idea until I went to the doctor that being stressed would be a contributing factor. Stress was making my stomach over acidic. They were able to prescribe meds for stomach acidity right away

Hello! I also have/had chronic nausea and vomiting. I wasn’t sure what mine was from either, I was eating a lot of soups and broths, mints, and apples but would wake up nauseous and puke shortly after and it lingered throughout the day. I had excision surgery a year ago for endometriosis, and went vegetarian 3 days later. I have been relatively nausea free since, so to be honest I’m not sure if my improvement is due to surgery or cutting out meat, but I may reintroduce some meat to test my theory.

@Craftycatlady Prior to my surgery no one had any idea why I was so nauseous all the time, but my excision specialist said after the fact that my endo could have been the culprit. Either way, diagnoses can be long and drawn out. Advocate for yourself and maybe keep a symptom log so that you can show it to them in writing what is going on and see if any patterns emerge

I have chronic nausea and for me a lot of food triggers it. Histamine, oxalates, sucrose, gluten, sometimes butter... I did an elimination diet to help. Purfume-like smells can also cause it for me. That includes strong lotions, laundry detergents, room sprays, etc.
