i had pediatric migraines when i was around 11, and they kind of just dissipated after a year or so. but since june 19, 2021 i have had a migraine almost every single day. so far i’ve tried 3 different oral medications, two rescue medications and i’m going on my 5th month of trying emgality. sadly, none of these things have helped and it’s exhausting feeling like this every day and missing out on so much.

22 years now 🤦🏻‍♀️ since I was 6 and no one ever believed how bad they were. I missed so much and was made to feel guilty for it. Forced to eat when I knew it would make me throw up. Endless medications and doctor bills and very little relief.

I’ve been dealing with migraines multiple times a week since I was about 8. I’m now on Trokendi and Maxalt which have helped a lot for the most part. I’ve noticed my biggest trigger is my insomnia-when I don’t get enough sleep or get good adequate sleep. When I wake up I can almost instantly tell if it’s going to be a migraine day or not 😅

Hi Mikala, I’m Sue. I’ve had chronic migraines since 1995. I now take an Amovig injection once a month for preventative purposes and Maxalt as a rescue medication. I have to use the Disintegrating tablets. I also take Zofran for the nausea I get with migraines. I stay in the dark too. I get ocular migraines where there is no pain but my vision gets foggy. Since I’m on the Amovig I only get about one migraine a month. I was getting 9-10 a month before that. Also I found out that a lot of the migraines I get were from certain foods I was eating. Have a great day!!
