Struggling to Find a Job That Works with My Chronic Illness

what do you guys do for work? i work as a style tm at target and the job is not doing it for my body. If you work from home/an office? Do you like it? Pros or cons? I have been trying to find both of these type of jobs for once but it's awfully hard to find any openings with no experience (which i'm willing to learn! i love learning!) Even if you don't work in either or, what do you do for a living that makes it easier /living/ with a chronic illness.

I work a desk job! Mainly admin stuff, lots of reading on the computer and entering info into systems. Thank god I got this job, since I can still handle going to work with an energy level 1 out of 10. The ability to work from home helps tenfold, being able to take meds when I need to, use ice/heat as needed, lay down and stretch periodically. Things that seem “odd” at the office. It’s not perfect tho, and it creates different symptoms from strain. Computer work gives me more hand numbness, back pain, headaches, double vision. Still I recommend any opportunity to work some days at home, even if it’s boring admin work!!! Entry-level data entry jobs can be low stress and low stakes.

I’m a neuropsych student and plan to open a private practice when I achieve my doctorate so I can work from home 😂 Otherwise I could literally never work

Indeed is pretty good. I work with adults with special needs. Like 1 on 1 and live their day with them. And as a case manager which is work from home. I find getting going and staying on tasks is really hard working from home. But my body likes it a lot

I work from home. I did some Remote Help work for a small IT company in my city. And it was okay but boring at times. Now im an assistant for an adult model and help her manage her content. I love it. She's so understanding and I'm an independent contractor so there's some benefits to that too!!

how did you find that type of work? You got lucky!! My only way of finding any type of work is through indeed/ social media, did you have any prior experience?
