Hey y’all. Does anyone with POTs get periods of chest pain during their period? Or in general? Like it feels like your chest wall muscles are burning? And it kind of moves around to different Muscles. Also in your legs? It’s been happening for a few days and I want to make sure I’m not crazy.

This makes total sense because POTS can cause blood flow issues and a period can really mess up your blood pressure

Yes! I’m currently experiencing burning sensations in my chest specifically on the left side. There is also chest pain and left arm pain. It make me so scared and I feel like I should rush to ER because it may be a heart attack.

Yes all the time. My boyfriend just makes me take a deep breath for a couple minutes and it usually goes away on its own, but in the meantime it's ridiculously painful
Yeah, I when I'm standing for a long time I get chest pain that is almost unbearable.
100%. The whole reason I finally got diagnosed was I kept having episodes where it felt like I was having a full on heart attack- tachycardia, chest pain, pain down left arm, difficulty speaking/breathing. Whole nine yards.

@Neuco that's exactly how I was diagnosed too

@Neuco and did this ever last for like a whole week before. Sorry if I am asking a lot of questions. I just have bad anxiety
@Erinnewbold My last out that got my diagnosed lasted from January 28th until the middle of May
@Neuco is there anything in particular that you do or use to help?
@Erinnewbold Sleeping propped up on pillows, drinking a lot of water, increasing my sodium intake by a lot. I have an emergency jar of salted nuts in my car for syncope episodes.
@Neuco Thank you so much for responding! My Mom is a cardiac nurse and she has been trying to talk me down about it because I don’t have many actual symptoms. I needed to hear this from someone who has the same thing
@Erinnewbold all the cardiac nurses at the ER treated me the same way. It is affecting your heart, but you aren't in any danger. That helped me to learn. It is your heart that you're feeling. But during the really bad spikes all you can do is play down and stay calm. Breathe through it and wait for your HR to drop again.
