Chest Pain and Anxiety: My ER Experience

Has anyone ever experienced chest pain so bad that they had to go to the ER and they found out later it was related to anxiety?

Thanks guys, I had to go to the ER on Dec 13 and I’ve been doing tests ever since cause I’ve been feeling chest pains and shortness of breath. All the tests are ok but it’s still scary to feel this way and then get it labeled as anxiety. If anyone wants to DM more about what they went through, I’d love to hear because this is my first time going through it and I’m still concerned about the symptoms I’m going through

I’ve gone to the ER several times for anxiety. In hindsight they were likely anxiety or panic attacks. They have similar symptoms to a heart attack like chest tightness, short of breath, etc. I’m in lexapro and haven’t had any anxiety or panic attacks so I’d talk to your PCP:)

Yes I was at work, I had dropped my motorcycle trying to park it, was super dizzy and my chest felt so much pressure on it. Went to the ER where there did and EKG and ordered a holter monitor for me.

I didn’t go to the ER but I have had severe chest pain due to anxiety. It’s fascinating how strong the mind body connection is
