I keep an eye on my Fitbit heart rate monitor and it makes my anxiety worse when it's at 100 or higher. I've honestly pondered on getting rid of it so I can't focus on my heart rate. My anxiety started at the beginning of the year when everyone around me were passing away and now my brain likes to wonder and think way too much for its own good!

Try to sit still and relax for at least five minutes before taking a reading, try taking some deep breaths, too, to really chill out. I check my bp regularly and have found that when I'm anxious over a high initial reading my recheck a minute later tends to be higher (I take 2 or 3 at a time with a minute in between and average them for accuracy).

I’m the same way, definitely doesn’t help out with my anxiety at all.

Also try not to take it too often, there's no medical benefit to it and honestly it'll probably just stress you out more. Once or twice a day is fine unless directed otherwise by a doctor and if you weren't told to monitor your bp then try not to if it's just causing you stress, it's not productive and is more harmful than anythinf
