I was given my Celiac diagnosis over the phone by an NP, should I set up a meeting with the specialist or my PC to follow up?

      @Beehaw 🙌 nutritionist really helps because gluten is so sneaky and in things you wouldn’t think. Also can be overwhelming and mine was nice enough to write stuff down etc. it’ll be good.

      If you haven't had an upper gi scope done you should otherwise go completely gluten free at first you'll feel like you're starving but that's normal because you're healing eat more protein rich foods helps heal quicker. If you have more issues follow up with gi doctor

        @Heaven197987 Thanks! I had both an endoscope and a blood test for confirmation. I also have an appointment with a dietitian tomorrow, so hopefully that will help.

          @Beehaw good luck out took about 2 months to start to not feel like I was starving. 6 months free started feeling healthier too

      Specialist. I see mine every few months for bloodwork and to make sure things are ok. Like bone density, vit levels and every two years an endoscopy.
