Has anyone taken CBD oil for anxiety? If so, does it seem to help? And what dose do you use? I've tried heavy duty meds like Lexapro, but I couldn't handle side effects! Looking for other alternatives! Thanks!

Not CBD oil but Hemp Seed Extract gummies. I take 2 a day, 1 in the mornings and another at nights few hours before bed. They work almost immediately and are natural so no side effects. I was nervous about trying them too but it's pretty easy to order on Amazon and just under 30 bucks. I got two bottles and 1 bottle lasts about a month. It's more of an investment than a purchase but I have no regrets at all. Very worth it especially since I couldn't get medication for my anxiety at the time.

I have tried it! I found it very helpful, but it took a few weeks of using to notice a difference. I also found out that all cbd is not the same. I HIGHLY recommend hempworx. You can buy it online. I think it’s considered a mlm business, but that is the highest quality cbd tincture I’ve used.

It’s not something that I feel you can immediately feel effects of. If you have IBS or any stomach issues, I would recommend eating before using. I struggle with a lot of health anxiety so when my tummy would get upset from cbd, it would trigger some panic. Stomach upset and diarrhea are side effects of cbd. But I highly highly recommend giving it a chance. It improved my quality of life a lot.

I am currently looking into trying a cbd vape so I will also let you know how that goes if you would like!

Also, another note. I’ve tried a high quality oil vs a cheap one and I literally saw no benefit to the cheap one. The ingredients on the bottle speak for itself. The cheap one was hemp oil mixed with MCT oil (which is basically coconut oil) and the higher quality one had no other ingredients.

Sillygoose, is there THC in Hempworx? I want to try it, but want to make sure if my company does a drug test, they won't fire me because of the THC content

And I do have Crohn's disease, but I haven't heard really any negative side effects from CBD oil with people with Crohn's. I saw some people actually took CBD oil with Crohn's and it helped them.

I use Buspirone 3x a day at 15 MG. It is honestly a life saver. It's the fastest acting one I've had, which is helpful if I need to take an emergency dose (doc suggested and supported)

What was your bad experience with busiprone?

    • Sillygoose47

      761d

Jess, I had a million side effects. It made my anxiety worse and I was almost passing out every day. I was zombie-like. It upset my stomach every time I took it. Just awful. My anxiety was pretty bad when I started (I was prescribed buspirone by my primary care doc) and didn’t get better so they increased my dose from 5mg 3x daily to 10mg 3x daily and my anxiety skyrocketed. I went to a psychiatrist after that and he said in his opinion, it’s the worst drug for anxiety and it’s basically useless. I looked online at reviews and it has a very bad rating. It’s interesting to say the least. I thought my anxiety was just bad but it turned out that buspirone was causing my intense anxiety. I feel better not taking it.

Sillygoose I was in the same boat! I stopped taking it cold turkey because of it's awful impact on my daily life

My experience with cannabis wasn’t that good, unfortunately. I’ve tried it as a treatment for anxiety, but it made it worse. People told me that there are different types, and maybe something else would work for me better, but I preferred conservative treatment

I've tried CBD gummies but they typically make me very tired so it's best to make sure you have some time to sleep off the initial tiredness. THC just made my anxiety worse so I personally wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks Sillygoose. I was also prescribed Busiprone by my primary doc. Have been unsure about taking it. Was just taking it at night for a week and was thinking about trying it out during the day time. Can't tell if it's helping or not.

I use CBD and THC. The CBD make sure you get a FULL SPECTRUM- and that the company does 3rd party testing.

I have been on Buspirone 30mg for quite awhile. It works for me. I tried American Shaman CBD and it didn’t work for me. I am a very anxious person.

Can CBD or even cannabis still work well if recreational marijuana makes you feel really anxious and panicky??

    • Jess1980

I believe so because it doesn't have THC in it.

I have anxiety but CBD doesn’t work for me. It’s too weak. I prefer smoking THC vape cartridges and I find it really helps, a lot. You have to be selective in what strand you would get, but there’s a lot of information on them! I know it has a large stigma around it, but truly it has helped my anxiety when nothing else has. If you have a prescription for it, I think you should be set for the drug test. There are other anxiety meds that would show up on a drug test, e.g. Xanax, but as long as you provide proof of prescription you should be fine for any of those. Good luck!!! If you aren’t comfortable trying THC that’s totally understandable :) I’m sure you can find a CBD pen that’s right for you! I don’t know much about it though to advise. If you do want to try weed, the strains that have worked for me are Jack Herer and Granddaddy Purple.
