Animals are very intuitive. Your cat senses that something is wrong. My dog follows me around the house. Even sits at the bathroom door and waits for me. He must sense something isn’t right. Good luck with your kitty.

Also don't forget, when our fur babies lay on us, we don't want to move so we don't disturb them lol. Sometimes we have to be the bad guy. Maybe kitty getting up on you is an alarm clock.
