Struggling with Cardiomyopathy and Vertigo at 68

My cardiomyopathy has gotten worse as I get older. I am 68, weaker and I have vertigo. I need to use my cane outside. Stairs and curbs are terrifying to me now. I get around the building just fine without my cane but when I step outside it’s like “I just noticed how big outside is.”

I understand you very well. I also suffer from cardiomyopathy which led me to heart failure. The desire to see the world and do things that I used to be able to do and then couldn't was just terrible. I ended up being put on an artificial heart and kind of got my life back.
