I take anxiety meds, melatonin, and a an over-the-counter sleep aid. Still struggle with being up late though.

Shower before bed (if I can physically manage), a warm drink, reading/looking at positive images and words, focusing my thoughts on one thing and trying not to deviate from it, listening to a playlist of music that calms me down.

@SJP I can't take melatonin because it takes me roughly 15 times the limit an adult should take. I have tried sleep meds for years, but none work. I was even maxed on Seroquel and that would barely get me drowsy *with other meds!!*

If you consume caffeine, stop it by 2 pm. Before bed, take a bath and put lavender oil in the water for relaxation. Some epsom salts wouldn't hurt either to relax and remove any aches from your body. Sleepytime Tea, if you are a team drinker. Melatonin. Try an app like Calm. There are so many different things you can try. Good luck to you and I hope you find something that works for you.

Epsom salts in a bath and lavender essential oils on my pulse points before bed helps. You can also get lavender spray for your linens. When things are real difficult for me, ill pop a meditation cd in the cd player. Nature sounds cds are great too.
