Hydroxyzine
Anxiety (Including GAD)

I personally use it daily and I think if you’re going to try, make sure to get an indica strain. It seems to me that sativa can trigger anxiety but indica makes me more chill/ sleepy. Everyone is different tho good luck and be safe ❤️

cannabis just made me more anxious but everyone’s different. it may work for you and just didn’t work for me

depends on the type. have had anxiety breakdowns because i used a sativa before going out shopping before (have had it with more than one sativa too), but at home when i'm in the worst of my breakdowns (which involve anxiety, but are not solely from it) it's the one thing that helps, lol. you may find that a specific strain does you wonders - high cbd is always a good choice if you don't have any contraindications to it. i have only ever taken one anti-anxiety med and it was a maintenance med, not an in-the-moment med like ativan or xanax or anything, so meds like that may still be more effective. and of course you'll have a hard time finding anyone who'll give a med card for anxiety alone, if that's something you're hoping for

I use both
yes absolutely i have tried more medications than i can even count and cannabis has been the most helpful to me. however there are some SERIOUS downsides to regular cannibis use that i was not aware of when i started smoking! am i gonna stop? no. but you should be aware of the risks and downsides!!!
@alara what major downsides are you referring to?
@ktaing1883 i should also note that i started using cannabis 5 years ago, and i’ve been smoking almost daily for three years, so my issues are cause by heavy, regular cannabis use.
@ktaing1883 for me the biggest downsides have been my memory is so bad and i get brain fog sometimes even when i don’t smoke, and i can’t eat or sleep unless i smoke. i’ve also seen weed trigger psychosis in people with a predisposition! for me, it is 100% worth it and makes me able to get through the day and live my life, and i recommend it! just wish someone had told me these things!

Yes!!! I use gummies only and once I figured out how much makes me feel what, and how much I need to help with my anxiety then I started liking it even more than any actual meds. I personally prefer delta 8 because to me, it doesn’t cause me to panic like I normally would with regular thc.
I found that it helps me a lot better than any meds ever could
Yes. It's really helpful. Some strains r better than others.
Yes! It took me from 37 pills daily to 7 within 1.5 yrs. It's been a miracle for my symptoms!
We use weed to help with our pain as well as some of our anxiety/PTSD symptoms. We do both meds and marijuana to do like a good balance of them both. Cannabis is the only way I sleep through the night though.
Cannabis makes me more anxious so I use hydroxyzine in rough situations
@nickelodeon how long have you been taking hydroxyzine? cannabis makes me super anxious too and i have been prescribed hydrox but haven’t taken it much
I find gummies to be helpful but the dose is a hit or miss for me. I can’t handle more than 5 mg without having a panic attack 😥
yes 100% i’ve tried 2 different anxiety medications and neither have worked as well as thc.
