Music is great as long as its something calming, deep breathing exercises can help, I use fidget toys sometimes as well. I've used the fidget cubes and spinners but now I keep a pop it toy on my night stand.
My Breathing helps me....catch your breath and just focus on breathing in and out and that's it....makes whatever pulled me into the attack disappear

Find music that matches your heart rate
Textures are a big help for me. If I have an object that's a texture I love, using that usually grounds me in hard moments

I try to find something i can hear ... something i can see ... something i smell ... as i focus on listing these it helps
@shusha I used to do that as well as long w butterful hug.
I find “therapeutic video games” to be really helpful! I turn to sudoku most often
