How to Calm Down from Legitimate Anxieties?

How do y’all calm down from legitimate anxieties (i.e. financial needs)? For me, it feels like they just keep coming back to my mind because I don’t have a way to fix them, and it’s frustrating leaving that open ended. It’s having a huge negative effect on my health, to the point where I don’t even want to wake up in the morning because I know I’ll have to think about it. Trying to do anything else in burnout is killing me, but I want to be able to do my best.

When I do have legitimate anxieties about real problems, I work a lot at not feeling like trying to solve that problem is the only thing that I can be doing. I can't solve any problems if I'm burnt out, so I try to give myself enough free time to both take care of myself and do things I want to do. Something else that can alleviate that for me is writing everything down and making a plan- that way when I start to spiral about it I can be like "I have a plan to solve this and it will be okay".

Xanax and then taking positive steps to fully understand the problem and make progress toward your goal. Eg for your financial example, an app like mint helps you understand the problem, and applying to new jobs might be a concrete step toward your goal.

But emphasis on the Xanax, it really helps me chill out so I’m not a ball of anxiety that can’t do anything
