Receiving a Fibromyalgia Diagnosis: A Win or Loss?

When I was diagnosed I was well enough to take myself to my favorite ice cream shop & had a mini private celebration in my car to honor my strength and resilience. Even put a little candle on top of my scoop to make a wish. I smiled and rejoiced as well as I cried and grieved. I’ve celebrated every year since. Being diagnosed with chronic pain/illness is a difficult experience to endure, but it’s a new chapter in your life and I think it would be nice if you’re well enough to take a little private moment to feel all the feels & comfort yourself.
