I was having serious suicidal thoughts and attempted suicide back in January, along with common symptoms of depression, like, can't get out of bed etc. I was put on bupropion 150mg and I haven't remotely had a suicidal thought since January, and things that used to make me really upset don't bother me as much anymore. Like it doesn't feel like the end of the world if something happens. I'm on 300mg now.. good luck to you!

I switched from venlafaxine to bupropion to try and help to lose weight or at least stop all the weight gain I’ve had since my chronic pain started about 7 years ago. I have been able to lose about 15 lbs over the last 6 months but the past couple months I have had some anxiety attacks that center around the thought of what really happens when we die. I’ve always been a strong believer in Christ and an afterlife in heaven but I have had a similar reaction I think twice in the past as I’ve grown older (almost 40) but this has happened prob 7-8 times in the last couple months and I do think it could be a side effect of the bupropion. Of course medicine works differently for everyone so I would say if you have any new or worse anxiety after the increase it is likely the medicine and something to look at changing with your doc. I’m going to stick mine out for the next 6 months and see if I’m still having any anxiety issues now that I know what the cause is and see if that fades since it has helped me to lose weight which I also need to do!
