Anyone else get brain fog with their migraines? I get this terrible brain fog surrounding my migraines. It starts at least a day or 2 before the headache and lasts for at least a couple days after. I feel like I can't make my brain do ANYTHING when the fog sets in. It's like I have to take the week off of school if it happens. And when you get about a migraine a week... well, it's been a rough year. It's so frustrating too because brain fog seems to be my body's go-to response for anything it doesn't like. Ate gluten, dairy, or soy? Brain fog. Migraine? Brain fog. Too little/much sleep, dehydrated, malnourished, etc? Brain fog. Can anyone relate? I would love advice on what helps either get through the fog faster or prevent it or make it better or anything.

I’ve had memory issues for like 4-5 years but now it’s just worse .. can’t really remember things about my relationship from 3years ago or even if I took my medication… I can’t retain any information either

I get migraines from my medication, and it messes with my inner ear. I’ll wake up with a migraine and feel nauseous, dizzy, and have brain fog. What I’ve found helps is to go outside and sit in the sun, go for a walk down the street and back, or hop in a cold shower

Yeah, I get brain fog, I take classes online and anything I'm into reading, watching shows, or whatever needs concentration, I start having a heavy feeling in my forehead. I can't concentrate and my mind Doesn't want to work, I just feel like I want to sleep when that happens. A neurologist diagnosed me that it was migraine, and I'm taking a special medication for that, and it helps 😥 🙌
@Thamy thank you for sharing! Did your neurologist say that the brain fog IS the migraine or just related? Do you have special meds for brain fog? I'm only curious because mine was just like "mm yeah. That happens" and didn't offer anything else really. I am diagnosed with migraines and I have meds for that, but nothing for the brain fog.

Can relate as well and commenting partly to follow the post, but can't offer anything for prevention or mitigation. Best I can come up with is the typical "maybe drink more water" suggestion.
Yeah, I can definitely relate.
