How does menstruation affect BPD symptoms?

For all you women with BPD, does your period mess with your BPD symptoms and if it does, how so?

As someone who isn't a woman but has a period: I don't get them when I'm on my HRT. So im thankful for that. But when I'm off it long enough to get one the week following I'm a complete mess. I become much more sensitive to anything abandonment related. I also cry literally everyday the week or so before.

My boyfriends ex has that problem. I know she gets a lot of body dismorphia because of it. Its just god I wish I could remove my emotions for a week or something. Its always so overwhelming

Yes, I just got diagnosed with PMDD and I’m having a total hysterectomy because it exacerbates my BPD sooo much. I can’t wait to get it taken out.
