I think so yes, at least for myself and the few others I've met. I don't think your diagnosis really determine your level of empathy.

Studies have shown most empaths have experienced some type of trauma for starters. When I found this out about myself it was life changing. One of the symptoms of being empathic is feeling at really intense levels. For me, I do ok in large crowds but after so much stimulation it gets to be to much which is why I prefer to be at home and mostly alone. 🤍🤍
