How long have you known you have borderline personality disorder?

I didn’t know till people brought it up this year, but looking back it’s made a lot of things clear from my teen years

5 years. I didn’t know anything about it; I’d not even heard much about it until my friend suggested that I should look into it because I was exhibiting a lot of symptoms. I researched it and the first time I read the diagnostic criteria it felt as though my entire life made sense. I had to really push for a diagnosis, but finally got one in 2020.
