I spoke with my GI Doctor today. I asked the following 1) Is there a recovery time? A) No 2) Are there food restrictions? A) No, some people are more full after eating due to the fluids being injected into the valve. 3) Will my food go straight into the small intestine without breaking down in the stomach first? A) No, the food will still break down. 4) Will this procedure eliminate my nausea? A) It will decrease the nausea. 5) Will my burbs smell like farts due to the open valve to the small intestine? A) No 6) How long will the Botox last for and when will I need the procedure again? A) About six months give or take. 7) When can I go back to work? A) The next day.
