How do you handle your body odor from your arm pits? I've noticed that my arm pits have been smelling more lately; I'm trying to think of things that are causing it and how to treat it. I don't see any skin breaking either usually. My skin is a little darker than what it was before. I epilate my hair so I thought maybe the hair pulling is causing trauma, but I didn't have this smell the first couple months I used my epilator. I don't exercise and I spend most of my time indoors. I also have been more smell sensitive these past few months with my migraines; but that still doesn't deter that they smell, right? I also try to use intimate body soap in this area to try to help the smell, but it seems to only temporarily replace it with perfume. I even stopped wearing my usual deodorant for a bit (maybe two-three weeks deodorant free) that I've worn for years because I thought maybe it was irritating my skin. I've come to the conclusion that since I'm still having this problem, it's not the deodorant doing this. Any ideas of what could cause this and how to treat this?

My husband has metal sensitivity so has a difficult time with that. He uses a mineral salt solution before he applies metal free deodorant. He usually uses Tom's but had to be careful about certain fragrance/ botanicals in it or he will have a reaction. I use alcohol or hand sanitizer before I apply antiperspirant. Are you using a deodorant or antiperspirant? There is a difference & that might be an issue for you. If I use deodorant alone I have trouble with odor, I have to use an antiperspirant.

if you have sensitive skin like I have, You can change to an Aluminum free like I got Coconut scent from Target. It's great for me and my armpits aren't breaking out in acne spots and not smelling. The times I need to enhance my scent is a Dry spray or a cheap spray. Ok I'm a little coconut crazy. I even have scented body wash and stuff for my hair. Whole Blends is good but expensive if you have a lot of hair like I got. I normally go cheap as possible since Rose scented perfume can trigger breathing issues. I also got diagnosed with anxiety then later confirmed anxiety and depression.

Most likely your diet is causing the fluctuation in smells. Sweating is also how our body detoxes so if you’re smellier than usual then it could mean your body is trying to push something out/process it. Mega babe makes an armpit detox soap that works wonders. Apple cider vinegar also helps. Wipe it on and let it sit for a minute and then wash off in shower.

@Zelda_22 Thank you. I'll try the soap and vinegar. Did you have a preference between the two?

Personally I’ve noticed it will come and go for a few weeks. I don’t know what causes it. Prayers!
