Struggling with Body Image and Depression

I am having a lot of depression about how much weight I've gained because of chronic pain and medications. My body image is so poor that I haven't dated in 10 years. How do you cope?

It would be nice to have support groups where we can meet and share stories so we don’t feel so alone thru these journeys

Same here... Ever since I had heart failure last year I deteriorated even more then before I had HF. I've gained 40lbs since my last HF hospital stay(I've had HF. 3x last year) I'm trying to stay active but I have good days and really bad days Depressed half the time, anxiety ridden and over weight does not help my given situation

The way I cope with it all is I think about people who are going through worse and I thank God that I'm not worse off. As far as the weight gain, its gonna happen alot until you find out how to manage the pain and what works for you. Don't give up on dating. I find my life is much more pleasant with someone by my side to love me and help me as much as I need it. Try to stay positive and keep your head up💕

… ironic…. My health started to plummet last year. I’ve been dealing with my FM for about 15 years. Going to the gym, has two jobs. I was active. Not sure why my health started to deteriorate… my legs started swelling, started having chest pain, SOB, hair falling out, my arthritis started giving me severe pain to where I can barely walk, gained 60 lbs! I have been super self conscious. I got laid off 3 months ago. So now I hardly go outside. But I started juicing and I’ve cut down on my portions. So far I’ve lost 15 lbs. Not much but I’m trying. The swelling in my legs has come down. I have an appointment with my rheumatologist Friday. Hopefully I can get treatment
