I keep having to have blood tests done pretty regularly and it’s getting harder to get blood from my arms each time, is there anything I can ask for/an alternative that will make getting bloods done easier?

Ask for them to take it from your hands a good phlebotomist gets excited when you want to preserve your arm veins. It makes their day a bit more interesting lol. If hands don’t work, ask to brainstorm a different place. Good providers are going to want to switch it up every once in a while.

Some suggestions include hydrating well before the blood draw, using a warm compress on the area most likely to get a good stick (like the elbow or hand), and asking for a small needle like a butterfly or pediatric needle. It's also recommended to relax your arm/hand during the procedure and keep on the pressure bandage as long as possible to avoid bruising.
