My blood pressure is high due to one of my medications that raises my heart rate, I’m on a low dose of medication plus I am trying to lose weight through noom, a weight loss app that deals with psychology

... I can relate, for years I was the same. They called it "Resistant Blood Pressure" The doctor kept trying different meds hoping to find the perfect match. It was nerve wracking. But what eventually started to help me ( other than the trail and error meds), was by sharing my journey with others who had it. This medical nurse shared his journey with me and said walking 3 to 4 miles a morning actually lowered his diastolic blood pressure. I couldn't maintain the 3 miles but I managed the 1 mile walk per day and was surprised it lowered my blood pressure somewhat. I also, think shedding 5 to 10 pounds from the walking and consistently decreasing my sodium intake were big factors as well. (Even a low sodium diet eventually worked against my resistant blood pressure. I actually had to quit salt! And tried substituting seasoning with onions, bell peppers, garlic, cumin, tumeric, etc., stuff like that) It's a struggle being consistent and maintaining a greater life style but it can be doable, atleast for me, one day at a time. I suggest , keep the doctor informed on what's working and what's not working... They are not Gods. And a lot they won't know unless we tell them, it's our body that's being affected. If I don't feel my doctor is giving me the quality help, concern and care that works for me... I will find one that does in a flash! Best wishes on your journey💓
