Seeking Advice: Birth Control and IBD

women/ppl with uteruses with IBD: what birth control method have you found success in, if any? i have had a lot of struggles with the mirena iud and nexplanon but that is all i have tried so far. i really hate how birth control makes me feel but don’t want to be unprotected. any tips?

I used a pill form for 5 years. I was on a 12 week cycle. It gave me HORRIBLE hormonal migraines and my IBD symptoms were MAJORLY worse during my periods. I've been off all birth control for 5.5 months, and my migraines are completely gone and my monthly periods cause much LESS IBD issues!
