@mybees wow I do have one who listens but nobody in my family understands that I'm pretty sure I have bipolar but no doctor will diagnose me, I got the symptoms but I also have learning disabilities Atwell as my mom drank heavily and did alot of drugs so I'm wondering if I have a disorder from her drinking and drugs that may look like bipolar

I was diagnosed bipolar recently by my pcp. I'm way overly self aware. I'm also a nurse (in some cases not very helpful to myself) I know the criteria for a bipolar diagnosis, I don't meet it. I have hyperfocused on all kinds of conditions trying to figure out what my doctors wouldn't for a long time. I now have an am Psychiatrist who, get this, listens šŸ¤Æ What my pcp saw as bpd was actually emotional disregulation. Her major depressive disorder is actually my executive disfunction and task paralysis. It's important to find some one who listens and can be reassuring that we are in fact not crazy! šŸ

It's called manic depression. I have a sister that is type 2 bipolar and she's also Schizophrenia, and bpd. One minute she's fine and the next minute she's crying her eyes out and no one even knows what's wrong smh I just wish we all were healthy and pain free... but until then...

ADHD apparently causes emotional dysregulation, so your mood swings can get really intense. Therapy has helped me to deal with intense emotions better. I still have them, but I now know the bad feelings aren't going to kill me.

@Delirium wow, this is helpful and another great reminder that I need to find a new therapist. I find that this happens to me if I donā€™t take my medication (Sertraline).
