I definitely still need meds, but I've also been taking an OTC lithium supplement. It's very low dose, so none of the lab work and side effects of the medication lithium (at least not for me). I feel like it helps though. I'm also taking lamictal and a low- dose antipsychotic (Zyprexa). I think seroquel helps with both depression and mania, but that made me too tired to function.

i definitely struggle to keep up with meds but i think finding good outlets and coping mechanisms makes the pills less daunting

I'm on Lamictal and that seems to keep me level not saying it's a cure but it helps.

@ShoobyDoobyDoo91 I'm on lamictal aswell. I dont feel fully like myself but it stopped the dark parts of my life from being so harsh. No suicidal thoughts or self harm. On the overly happy side I'm a lot calmer and I have more control over my actions.

I’ve had docs trying to put me on meds last 15 years and nothing has helped and most have made me worse. Honestly very non-compliant with psych meds since I’ve managed this long and any upset to it really sets me off. Finally got my doc to order a pharmacogenetic test so I can reduce the trial and error and see what my body will and won’t respond well to. Look up gene sight testing if you want a better idea. But sorry you haven’t found anything so far. Have found natural supplement help (not hugely but a bit). If you’re interested in that I can give you a run down of what helps me as far as supplements.
