can someone with bipolar disorder have a favorite person? I’ve always gone through periods of time where I cling on to a specific person. it’s different than a normal bond.. more like an obsessive love where I rely on them and my mood depends on their behavior. does anyone else relate??

Yes. I usually have a fp, but I don’t anymore. I often obsess and any little thing that person does can hurt me: cancelling plans, forgetting to text back, hanging out with other people. It can suck, but also I like having a fp, and without one I feel extra lonely.

I also had one person I clung too. But we had very similar issues with mental health and I realized that we mirrored the other too much and the relationship was not healthy anymore. I’m currently trying to be “okay” without them and it’s a little scary.

Yea ive had the same experience. not sure if i actually have bpd, or the symptoms overlap, or its just the symptoms of bipolar. but recently since i now live alone at college this has gotten worse.
