Need advice on getting an accurate diagnosis for possible bipolar disorder

hey guys. my therapist says that i probably have bipolar disorder but i’m not sure if this counts as an official diagnosis. i’m trying to set up an appointment with my doctor, but i’m not sure what i need to tell her/talk to her about in order to get an accurate diagnosis. please let me know if you have any suggestions on what kinds of questions i need to ask about this. thanks!

I was recently diagnosed with bipolar the beginning of last year. What helped me was telling my doctor about the things that happened. I also read more on bipolar before I talked to my doctor and would tell him about what I read and telling him that the samething happen to me. You should talk to them about that. I'm not sure what's going on and why your therapist is saying you probably have bipolar but it's probably because of some behavior you have. I hope this was some help I'm kinda bad at typing things out I better at talking lol

To start what symptoms she thinks you have out of the possible ones. Which type of bipolar also. You would need to see a psychiatrist to get on meds if you wanted. I think they help a lot. Even if it takes 4 pills a day.
