not necessarily “normal”, but since hallucinations can occur during either mania or depression, it could be a symptom of either bp1 or bp2. if you think you’re hypomanic but you’re experiencing hallucinations, that may be a sign that it’s actually mania.

my impression is that is what makes it bipolar 1 actually. like the difference is psychosis vs hypomania
