I’m just starting Famotidine (Pepcid) bc my recent endoscopy showed erosions and other signs of acid reflux, and I’ve been having symptoms. What’s the best time to take it? And should I wait before eating? Any adverse side effects? Thanks!
I like to take it after a BIG meal so either lunch or dinner. After I take it I feel full like the rest of the day, it’s great for weight loss! Hope this helped!
I have mast cell issues and only take it twice a day, with breakfast and dinner (I can’t swallow pills lol) and must take it with Benadryl to prevent major side effects.

Yeah, I am sorta allergic to it bc of the mast cells but my old GI didn’t belive me. I am seeing a new one tomorrow. Hopefully it’s better the fifth time around.
I take famotidine I take it before I go to bed the time I take it is at 9pm you can take famotidine with or without food I am also on omeprazole for acid Reflux but I take that in the morning I have severe acid reflux I hate it my doctor is thinking about doing an endoscopy to see how much acid reflux build up I have and she might put me on something stronger
