Low carb diet. In 2 months, I went from 9.4 to 5.6. My doc was stunned. I won't lie, the first 2 weeks are rough, but the benefits are amazing.

Yes! The ketogenic diet is effective. But you may have to cut the grains as they’re higher in carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are long chains of glucose/sugar which breaks down into glucose by the liver. Always read the ingredients on food labels and make sure you don’t consume any seed or vegetables oils which are in processed foods. Eat lots or green vegetables. And just eat berries such as strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and few blueberries. The whole idea is to cut out as much glucose, fructose and starchy foods from your diet as well. Don’t use any vegetables oils nor seed oils. Use organic 100% olive oils or butter from grass fed cows. Also walking or swimming are best and HIT, if you can.

I did an A1C Feb 2021 and I was not diabetic. In September, 2021, I was 7.6 Diabetic. I am a Mayo patient for other medical conditions and at the time I was on bed rest. They gave me diet directions with bedrest for 4 months. Basically, with the food, I followed the Keto recipes to get sugar free and carb free ideas but I added healthier rice or chickpea pasta or vegetable pasta. I ate whole grain breads and fruit every morning with a protein. The strict advise was to not avoid a food group so I ate the healthier options. With fruit, I did not eat Bananas, watermelon, or grapes. I also did not drink anything with sugar. This entire time I did not count my sugar or carbs. In January 2022, my A1C was 5.4. Their advice helped. They said I was following more of the Dash diet and it worked for me.
