What is the best sleeping med you may have taken or heard about from family or friends?? Without hangover feeling next day. NON benzo med please. I am currently taking 25-50 mg of trazadone and my eyes feel swollen abs I’m exhausted when I wake up in am. I can’t go on like this.

I was on 50mg of trazodone for ptsd insomnia and night terrors, it did the job fantastic but it did leave me in a groggy headspace every morning I took it. I’m now on mirtazapam for sleep and anxiety and it works well with my medical weed :) I highly recommend trying to stay away from stimulation before bed, maybe try a hot bath or cup of tea/cocoa to help calm you down for the night :) also I’ve been going to bed with binaural beats and it’s so great. Best of luck to you 💐🐛

I had really good luck with Swanson brand “Sleep Essentials”, an herbal sleep aid chock full of flowers that will take you to Sleepytown. They are good for interrupting a regular bout of insomnia. They aren’t really effective for long term use but they are great for nightly use for about a month or so

I’ve tried Ambien, Lunesta, Trazadone, Sonata and a few others. There are a couple new ones out that work on the hormone in your body that signals the body to stay awake. It tells the body to turn off that hormone per se. The one I’m using now is called Dayvigo - it is by far the best one I have ever used and doesn’t give me the “hangover” feeling the next morning. It can be pricey as it is new and did require a pre-authorization from my doc. But something to ask your doc about if you have tried a lot of the first line go-to sleep meds.

Hydroxyzine helps me. It’s close to Benadryl but works better for me. I just started it recently for anxiety and sleep I take it every four hours and it’s working really well so far

God i wish i had Ambien. My sleep cycle would be perfect. If you can get it, try it out. Just go to bed as soon as you take it otherwise you might do some weird sleepwalking stuff.

Ambien or hydroxyzine, I'd think. Ambien is for insomnia, I take hydroxyzine for my breakthrough anxiety and it makes me sleepy.
