Ugh. I am so sorry you’re dealing with this. I’m allergic to Keppra. Lamictal worked very well for me for 8 years with rescue meds on the side in case of a seizure. I’m prone to going into status annoyingly. But it stopped working and I’m now in Dilantin with diazepam as needed if I have an aura.

Keppra probably isn't working then. I think they took me off Keppra once I reached that and I was still having seizures. So I suppose it depends on your symptoms. I would talk to your doctor, if you don't like it and want to try something else, do it. I'm taking Lamotrigine for tonic clonic seizures, but zonisamide for jme

keppra hasn’t helped me much which is why i take lamictal but anything lower than 500 mg of keppra messes me up

Let off Keppra ASAP that didn't even work for me. I don't think Keppra helps jme honestly. It's so dated. The only problem I have with zonisamide is when I got to 300mg I had a more difficult time eating

Just to confirm, juvenile myoclonic epilepsy? For mine I take zonisamide, 200mg it used to be at 300mg and it was too much and I didn't eat enough that's why it got reduced
