I would recommend taking a test called GeneSight! basically you mail them a sample of your dna (qtip mouth swab) and they figure out which medicines will be most effective for you based on your dna. my psychologist suggested it for me and we got my medicine (lexapro) right on the first try!

I’ve tried everything under the sun 🙄🙄 hydroxyzine and gabapentin have helped with panic attacks. I just started taking buspirone and I’m hoping that works for me! I know it works different for everyone but abilify was the worst experience of my entire life. I felt like I was going to explode with anxiety and just wanted to crawl out of my skin. I actually almost went to the hospital because I was convinced I couldn’t breathe but I was just so physically anxious. I hope you find something!

I’ve tried soooo many - Prozac, Abilify, Naltrexone, etc, and none of them worked well (and if they did work well, there were very problematic side effects). Now I’m on Cymbalta, and it’s been so great!!! No side effects.
