What doctors/specialties are best to see for treatment and help, especially given the lack of understanding about MCAS (and/or refusal to acknowledge that it exists)? I'm running out of doctors I can see in my area, since so few know about my multitude of conditions.

@Lhamo did you do her 1 on 1 thing? How much was it?

Yes a good functional doc is key. Gotta run all the tests. Also-a functional doc, Dr. Beth O’Hara has a really great site online called Mast Cell 360-tons of information about healing MCAS. That is her speciality.

I was diagnosed by an allergist/immunologist (told me to take anithistamines) but currently seeing a functional med doc (who wants to find + heal the root cause and get me off of antihistamines).

@youaregood Yeah a functional doctor is a good option imo. That is the type of doctor I got my diagnosis from.

The one who diagnosed me was a holistic doctor. (A functional neurologist to be specific.) But yes, you're right. Not a lot of doctors know. Allergist can help as well but my appointment is later with them. A well rounded team of fields should be there for you in your journey. Best of luck to you.
